The Lucy Joyce Blackman Foundation is a charitable, humanitarian Foundation meeting the needs of its people in our Global Village.
"We are the voices of the poor men, women and children crying out in the wilderness. The forgotten brothers and sisters stricken by dread diseases and causes. We are our brother's keeper, a lamp unto his feet in the darkness, of a world that can sometimes be a desolate wasteland of unkindness. We are the extension from one hand to another, bridging the gap with love and human kindness, one person at a time."
Most of all we are the embodiment of our founding namesake and mother, Lucy Joyce Blackman; a woman fondly referred too by all who knew her as "Mother Joyce." A woman who was born to hardship, learned to overcome adversity and through all life's unfairness still loved, gave of all she owned to those less fortunate and in need. She had faith, for she knew the sum of all things were far greater than what was measured in giving. She had love for she knew with love all things could be conquered. She had Spirit, for she fought the good fight of faith as she faced cancer head on. In her latter days of illness she found some immeasurable way of rising up and still extending herself to others. She had peace, for at the end of her journey here on earth she would transcend to a higher self, to her Source and Maker~
Kids Toy Drive: We are currently collecting toys for our annual "Christmas In November" event. With over 300 estimated children to be in attendance, any donation of funds and toys will be appreciated.
